The city government rolled out the service in partnership with the company JET, as part of the city&#8217;s activities marking World Car Free Day, held on the same date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the scooter-sharing service works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GO JET app manages the entire service and is available for Android and iOS. Through the app, users can locate nearby scooters and unlock trips; the minimum age required is 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For now, the service covers five neighborhoods: Est\u00e2ncia Noblesse, Santana, Vila Cai\u00e7ara, Col\u00f4nia and Bosque Santana. A GPS system tracks each scooter, and the maximum allowed speed is 20 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the rules, the app bans carrying passengers, using the scooters for deliveries, or hauling heavy cargo.
