They require computing capacity, networks, storage, energy and specialised teams. This is why supercomputing is strategic for research, industry and public services.<\/p>\n<p>The BRICS agenda seeks to expand technical cooperation between Brazil, India, China, Russia, South Africa and the bloc\u2019s other members. The meeting did not announce a consumer product or a new commercial platform; its focus was the exchange of experience and the development of joint projects.<\/p>\n<h2>Brazil\u2019s role<\/h2>\n<p>LNCC operates the Santos Dumont supercomputer and works on research that uses high-performance computing.
