Furthermore, private payroll-deductible credit, traditionally safer due to automatic payroll deductions, hit an unprecedented 10% default rate, well above historical norms for that segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brazilian companies post record default rates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, roughly 9.1 million companies were in default in June across the corporate sector, according to the latest figures released by credit bureaus tracking business delinquency nationwide. Together, they hold R$232.9 billion in overdue debt \u2014 an average of 7.3 pending debts per company, worth R$25,508.96 each. Also, short-term corporate debt grew R$50 billion in the first half of the year, jumping from R$289 billion to R$339 billion by June.
