But the club did not submit a formal offer within the negotiating deadline. Neither transfer therefore went through during the window.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An advance on future income remained under consideration<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Corinthians recorded a R$246 million deficit in the first half of 2026. Against that backdrop, the finance department was considering bringing forward up to 30% of the revenue expected for 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This would provide money sooner. However, it would also leave less of that income available in the following year. The proposal was an option under review, rather than a completed transaction. Its purpose was to offset the shortfall in transfer income.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the report described three transfer bans in force. These restrictions prevent the registration of new players.
