Messages found by Brazil’s Federal Police on the phone of Daniel Vorcaro, the former controlling shareholder of Banco Master, show he had a close friendship and business relationship with TV host Luciano Huck between 2023 and 2025. The content was published by Veja magazine in late September. Huck denies having had a partnership with the banker and says the relationship was limited to Will Bank’s sponsorship of “Domingão com Huck.” According to Veja, the messages do not point to any illegality by the host, and there is no report that he is under investigation in the case.
What the messages show
- Will Bank sponsorship: Will Bank, the digital bank of Vorcaro’s group, sponsored “Domingão com Huck” on TV Globo. Talks about the sponsorship appear starting in 2024, and Huck took part in the negotiations and advised Vorcaro on dealing with the network, including its compliance department.
- Amounts mentioned: according to Veja, in an October 2025 conversation Huck mentions R$ 83 million in media for Globo and R$ 26 million in a “personal contract.”
- Aircraft: the messages indicate Vorcaro lent a plane for Huck’s trips to Rio Grande do Sul during the 2024 floods and to Poland, and that the two discussed jointly buying a Gulfstream G550 jet.
- Favors and advice: Huck helped Vorcaro with contacts at Globo, arranged reservations and services for the banker’s relatives, and advised him to take control of his own narrative on social media and in the press.
The Master crisis and the last message
Throughout 2025, as Banco Master came under pressure, Huck reached out to Vorcaro to ask how he was doing and offered to help. His last message was sent on November 17, 2025, the day Vorcaro was arrested at Guarulhos Airport: the host celebrated the news of the bank’s supposed sale, which he had seen on Jornal Nacional, and wished the banker would come out of the turmoil “whole.” Brazil’s Central Bank ordered Master’s liquidation the next day.
Huck’s side
In a statement, the host’s representatives said “all interaction between Luciano Huck and Daniel Vorcaro took place around the sponsorship of Will Bank” and that “there was no partnership, as one outlet wrongly claimed.” According to the statement, the image and advertising contracts were terminated before the Central Bank intervened in Will Bank. His team also said the deal followed the contract, with invoices issued and taxes paid, and Huck acknowledged the messages exist and said they are consistent with that account.
Globo
According to Veja, the board of Grupo Globo authorized an internal audit to examine Huck’s contracts, contacts and dealings with Vorcaro. Times Brasil noted that the network had not responded to a request for comment.
Who is Daniel Vorcaro
Vorcaro was arrested on the night of November 17, 2025, at Guarulhos Airport, and is being investigated on suspicion of financial fraud and money laundering in the Banco Master case. The case also reaches other figures in politics and business, which OnTheNet has been following.
